ARDHA HALASANA
'Ardha‘ means ‘half‘ and ‘Hala‘ means ‘Plough‘ so this pose is called as Ardhahalasana (Half Plogh Pose).
Steps:
- In ardha halasana you can rise one or both legs at a time perpendicular to the ground.
- Lay down on floor and relax for a few seconds.
- Inhale slowly to rise your both legs upwards as shown above image.
- Legs should be perpendicular to the ground and should not bend.
- Hold breath and be in position for a few seconds.
- Exhale slowly and bring your legs towards the ground.
- Come to the normal position and relax for a few seconds.
- Repeat this for 3-4 times.

- Those who suffering from severe heart problem, severe back pain or high blood pressure should not do this asana.
- Women should not practice ardha halasana after the second month of pregnancy, should consult doctor before practice.
